My Favourite Foods!

When I loose weight I don't give up the things I love, I just eat less of them and cut calories where possible.


PIZZA

I am a big cook, my favourite thing to make is homemade pizza with lots of salad and balsamic vinegar. Which I do at least once a week. 
The photo below is enough to feed 2 people with a very satisfying portion and I work out the pizza as 450-500 calories pp.



I make the dough with 150 g of flour, olive oil, yeast, warm water and salt. Knead together then use pizza tomato paste, lots of vegetables and a mozzarella ball (I use this because then I know exactly how many calories are in it and you can get lower fat versions. Remember meat will add more calories as will extra sundried tomato paste or pesto so try and avoid.


SOUP


Thick homemade soup is one of my favourite foods, and one of the best diet foods as it keeps you fuller for longer. I love to make butternut squash and sweet potato soup with lentils to bulk it out or tomato and carrots.
